Classique Gifts cc. was established under the same name as a sole proprietor in 2000 by the current owner and Managing Member Ms. M.G. Seape. The company is 100% woman owned. The motivating factor behind the establishment of the company was the realization that there were hundreds of people- especially rural women who were involved in the manufacturing of corporate gifts/promotional items but who were left out of the "main stream" of the economy because of their inability to rnarket their goods/wares in the local and international market.
Although their goods are of a superior quality - access to the markets is invariably an almost impossible task. Classique Gifts then embarked on a programme whereby women in different provinces were encouraged to be creative and their goods would then be sold both locally and internationally.
The company was then formally registered as a close corporation in 2003. The Director and Associates of Classique Gifts have between them many years of experience in working both in the public and private sector in various roles and responsibilities. These positions include finance, marketing, public relations, construction and freight management. |
